Your Word For The Year

Welcome to 2022! A new beginning with lots of familiar elements in play too.

It would be wonderful to sit down, journal about 2021, then set goals and intentions for 2022. Maybe identify a few New Year’s Resolutions too.

But let’s be real here for a minute. We are busy and may not have time for a lengthy reflection.

Let’s simplify things. Choose 1 word as your theme for this year. Here are some examples:

If you are looking to deepen and strengthen personal or professional relationships, choose Connection.

Stress is high. Times are tense. It’s wearing you down. Choose Relax.

Are you distracted in your day to day by social media, TV and streaming movies? Choose Focus.

If you are spending more time inside the home seated in front of a computer, choose Movement.

Are you flying high one day and down in the deep blues the next? Choose Balance.

Choose one word that means the most to you. Look at it once a day with the intention to bring it into your daily life.

A sticky note on the fridge. Lock screen on your phone. Daily recurring calendar entry. Whatever works best for you. See it and feel it once per day.

What’s your word for 2022?
